Leading the Way
As Chief Executive Officer of XanEdu Publishing, John oversees the global products and services operations. Prior to accepting the role as Chief Executive Officer, John served as XanEdu’s Chief Financial Officer.
Previously, John served as CFO at Applimation, Inc., a world-wide provider of application data management software that was acquired by Informatica in early 2009. His experience at Applimation included all facets of financial management, from acquisitions to international tax to treasury management. John also worked for Allied Domecq and Price Waterhouse.
John earned his Bachelor’s degree from Central Michigan University, has completed executive studies at the University of Michigan and Babson College, and is a registered Certified Public Accountant in the State of Michigan.
As Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Brett creates the strategies that drive XanEdu’s growth.
With over 13 years of experience building and leading sales teams to exceed goals, Brett has broad experience in sales leadership, coaching, product development, partnerships, and business development. Brett has been instrumental in the evolution and advancements of technology, services, and solutions at XanEdu and has an intense passion for improvements in higher education and publishing.
Brett received his MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan in 2012.
As Chief Operating Officer of XanEdu Publishing, Mark oversees all aspects of XanEdu’s NimbleWerx platform, a content control and digital/mobile delivery platform.
Previously, Mark served as co-founder of Applimation, a software company in the Oracle market, which was acquired by Informatica (Nasdaq:INFA). He has deep leadership skills honed from previous work experience at Oracle and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Mark is a CPA in the state of NJ, holds a BS in Accounting from Rider University and an MBA in Information Systems from Rutgers Graduate School of Management.
As Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Marc designs, manages, and supports digital strategies and systems to deliver maximum value to our customers. His portfolio spans all facets of technology, including architecture, engineering, infrastructure, and customer-facing technical support.
Marc previously held technical leadership roles at SkillCheck and First Advantage, most recently acting as Senior Director of Software Development for First Advantage. Marc began his career writing curriculum and software for QWIZ (now part of SHL).
Marc earned his undergraduate degree at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut. He is based in Boston, Massachusetts where, in addition to all things technical, he pursues music composition and enjoys almost any DIY project, from amplifier circuit design to whole-house renovation.
As the Chief Financial Officer for XanEdu, Jason is responsible for all financial functions within the organization including financial reporting, cash management, etc.
Jason had been with XanEdu since 2008 and served as Controller until 2013. Previously he worked at a regional accounting firm, Plante & Moran, for eight years.
Jason earned a BBA from Northwood University in 2000 and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Michigan.
As Senior Vice President of Operations, Kevin is responsible for the day to day operations of XanEdu’s production and fulfillment teams. He provides strategic direction to the company in order to improve processes and develop customer service initiatives.
Kevin has been with XanEdu for over 11 years and has served in various roles such as Account Executive, Regional Sales Manager, and Director of Folio-xPress.
Kevin earned his undergraduate degree at Michigan State University and then went on to earn his MBA at Eastern Michigan University.
As the Vice President of Custom Solutions, Natalie is responsible for all aspects of XanEdu’s custom publishing division. Operated out of our Boston, Massachusetts office, XanEdu’s custom division publishes custom textbooks, lab manuals, anthologies, first year readers, and more.
Natalie originally joined the XanEdu team as an Executive Editor in XanEdu’s custom publishing division. Prior to that Natalie held such positions as Senior Sponsoring Editor, Pearson Learning Solutions; Managing Editor, iLrn; and Adjunct Instructor, Massachusetts School of Law and Northern Essex Community College.
Natalie earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from University of California, Berkeley, and her Ph.D. from Brandeis University.
As Senior Vice President of Corporate & Business Development, Lance is responsible for developing strategic initiatives to drive new market opportunities based on XanEdu’s core technology platform.
Lance has more than 20 years of experience in sales management and corporate development roles with large enterprise application vendors, software startups and cloud computing providers. Previously, Lance served as VP, Business Development at Applimation, Inc. which was acquired by Informatica; as Director of Alliances at Sybase, Inc.; and, as Director of Business Development at Docent, Inc. (now SumTotal Systems).
Lance graduated from the Boston University School of Management and resides in greater Boston.
As Vice President of Marketing, Jeff assures that XanEdu’s brand promise of simplicity and transformational technology and service is clear and evident in every customer touch point.
Jeff was an original member of XanEdu in 2000. After helping establish the XanEdu business over nine years in sales and business intelligence roles, he served for three years on the Executive Leadership Team of Mango Languages where he led the sales and marketing functions and generated growth via entry into corporate training and development, K12, and higher education. Jeff returned to XanEdu in 2014, bringing with him a wealth of entrepreneurial experience and depth in these markets.
Jeff earned his undergraduate degree in psychology at Michigan State University, which he followed with a master’s degree in clinical psychology at Long Island University. He then went on to complete an MBA at the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. He is based in Ann Arbor, Michigan where, he nurtures interests in the intersection of analytics, technology, and marketing as well as mindfulness-based approaches to organizational leadership.
