Gutierrez Energy Management Institute (GEMI), University of Houston

The Gutierrez Energy Management Institute (GEMI) was developed as a resource specifically for the energy industry through the C. T. Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston. Bauer College is Houston’s resource for education, business solutions, and resources related to energy. GEMI has grown to include public policy and law components in addition to its focus on business.

IGI Global—IT Case Studies

This collection consists of real-life documented case studies pertaining to the experiences (failures and successes) of organizations of all types and sizes throughout the world. The cases deal with the utilization of various information technology applications and their management in these modern organizations.

IESE Business School

IESE Business School is one of the world’s leading producers of business cases and technical notes, which are available in both English and Spanish. IESE cases focus upon a wide range of business and international contexts, in line with the school’s global general management approach. The cases are designed to help business students and executives improve their abilities to analyze information, think strategically, and make critical managerial decisions. Ivey Business School

This collection includes business cases presented by the MBA program at the Ivey Business School at the University of Western Ontario. Ivey Publishing is the leader in providing business case studies with a global perspective. Virtually all Ivey cases have teaching notes. Ivey cases are clear, concise, and current and are lauded by the academic community as meeting the rigorous demands of management education by responding to the ever-changing needs of business and society.

Harvard Kennedy School

Cases presented by the Harvard Kennedy School have an emphasis on social and governmental issues.

Kellogg School of Management

The Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University makes selected cases and teaching materials developed by Kellogg faculty and taught in the Kellogg classroom available to academic practitioners and corporate trainers. Business cases are a teaching tool utilized by faculty at the Kellogg School of Management to enhance the learning experience of graduate students and executive education attendees alike. Students have the opportunity to apply theoretical learning, situation analysis, and decision-making skills in a safe classroom environment—yet it is intense practice for success in a challenging business environment.

North American Case Research Association (NACRA)

NACRA publishes The Case Research Journal, outstanding teaching cases drawn from research in real organizations dealing with issues in all administration-related disciplines. Occasionally, the journal publishes papers concerning case research, case writing, or case teaching. All manuscripts are double-blind refereed by editorial board members and ad hoc reviewers in the appropriate discipline. Cases accepted for publication will deal with issues important to their disciplines. Usually, they will be framed around problems facing a decision maker in the organization. The journal does not accept fictional works or cases synthesized from author experience.

The Society for Case Research

The Society for Case Research’s (SCR) mission is to facilitate the exchange of ideas leading to the improvement of case research, writing, and teaching; assist in the publication of written cases or case research and other scholarly work; and provide recognition for excellence in case research, writing, and teaching. SCR publishes three scholarly journals, the Business Case Journal, Annual Advances in Business Cases, and the Journal of Critical Incidents. There is a preference for field-researched cases and incidents, but submissions will also be considered if they are based on substantial research from secondary sources. Fictional or synthesized cases and incidents are not accepted.

Thunderbird

Cases presented by the Thunderbird School of Global Management at Arizona State University have an emphasis on international business issues.
