The purpose of this book is to influence the educator towards creativity and independent thinking with regard to methods and building relationships in the classroom. Although these strategies are presented in the context of social studies and related courses, they are mostly general in nature; they can easily be adapted to other disciplines. The same goes for age and grade appropriateness. All of the methods are flexible; all they need is the teacher's imagination.
