Content is organized into grade-level appropriate collections, each of which includes primary and secondary sources like speeches, letters, newspaper articles, photographs, biographies, telegrams, timelines, court cases, and more.
Specially-created Florida collections are also available with approved classroom-ready content aligned to Florida’s Social Studies Standards and Statutes for Required Instruction.
Next Generation Sunshine State Standards (Social Studies) requires that high school students will evaluate the significance and outcomes of landmark Supreme Court cases. LessonLift Create's Supreme Court Cases collection provides commentary and excerpts on about two dozen of the most commonly studied U.S. Supreme Court cases, and its content aligns with Florida’s Social Studies Standards.
It’s chock-full of unique primary sources, including newspaper clippings, telegrams, photographs and podcasts, providing a wide variety of content types that expose students to different perspectives.

Duval County Public Schools will utilize a subscription to LessonLift Create, which among its variety of Social Studies collections, now includes “Florida Collections” made up of thematic sub-collections including Constitution Day, Hispanic Heritage Month, Veterans Day, Bill of Rights Day, Black History Month, Women’s History Month, Medal of Honor Day, Florida State Day, and Memorial Day as required by the new 2021 Florida statutes. Each collection includes articles, literature, primary sources, discussion questions, short activities, and at least 1 state connection to ensure the content is relevant and meaningful to Florida students.
