Overview

As a valuable addition to our growing and dynamic K-12 team, the K-12 Curricula Specialist will oversee the creation of instructional materials for students and teachers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write and edit educational content for students for ELA, social studies, or cross curricular initiatives.
  • Review and edit the work of third-party contractors, and ensure content supports robust pedagogical practices and grade-appropriate learning goals, and aligns with XanEdu’s content guidelines
  • Develop and maintain a network of contract workers who can support the development of content and curriculum product solutions in fast paced environment.
  • Research and align content with national and state standards.
  • Develop content offerings and pricing strategies for custom publishing deals.
  • Assist sales and operations teams to create SOWs (statements of work) that include information about pedagogy, instructional design, and other curricula services.
  • Participate in key account meetings about custom curricula deals.
  • Participate and/or run client-facing meetings to discuss curricular needs.
  • Provide customer support for customers who have curricula-related questions.
  • Collaborate with instructional designers, project managers, and other curricula specialists to brainstorm ideas for new products.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Education or related field
  • At least 3 years of teaching experience
  • Outstanding written and spoken communication skills
  • Experience developing curriculum materials for K-12 students
  • Exceptional analytical reasoning, problem-solving, and creative thinking skills
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
  • Ability to prioritize and manage work to adhere to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to be flexible and creative in seeking solutions
  • Ability to follow-up and follow- through on multiple initiatives.
  • Curiosity, open-mindedness, an unfailingly positive attitude, and a keen interest and passion for K-12 education!
  • Previous experience in publishing company(s).

Hours

  • This is a full-time, remote job. Candidates must be available 8 am EST-5 pm EST Monday-Friday.
