The tutorials in As Easy as 1-2-3 are designed to provide users with step-by-step support as they learn to become comfortable with using basic computer tools. Based mostly on the Microsoft Office XP software suite and a few other application programs, the tutorials take the beginning user of technology tools beyond the basics to explore in-depth some of the advanced features of the software.
The book begins with simple file management tasks that a user can perform on the Windows XP desktop. In subsequent modules, the user learns to complete simple and advanced tasks such as:
- Creating tables, hyperlinks, and mail merge with Microsoft Word.
- Doing grades, budgets, and charts with Microsoft Excel.
- Creating presentations in PowerPoint.
- Designing different types of publications in Publisher.
- Publishing web pages using FTP.
- Editing and formatting graphics with Paint Shop Pro.
